Mike Lutz
Pastor Mike Lutz is Assistant to the Pastor at Hope during the time of the Senior Pastor vacancy. He and wife Liz are active members of Hope and live in Youngsville, North Carolina. They have four grown children (two living in Youngsville) and twelve grandchildren (six living in Youngsville). Pastor Mike graduated from Concordia Theological Seminary in St. Louis in 1972. He previously served as pastor at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Macomb, Michigan (1984-2022), St. John Lutheran Church, Northbrook, Illinois (1976 – 1984), and Trinity Lutheran Church, Jasper, Minnesota (1972 -1976) Throughout his ministry he has been involved on the circuit level as Circuit Counselor; on the district level as Chairman of the Evangelism Board, on numerous call committees, as Chairman of the Mission and Ministry Committee and a member of the Michigan Church Extension Fund Board of Directors. On the Synodical level he has served on different Task Forces and Committees. Pastor Mike and Liz enjoy traveling and spend many of their vacations traveling overseas.
